7th SOUTHERN AFRICAN QUALITY ASSURANCE NETWORK (SAQAN) CONFERENCE
The Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE) is proud to host the 7th Southern Africa Quality Assurance Network (SAQAN) Conference in Harare this September. This premier regional gathering brings together policymakers, quality assurance professionals, and academic leaders to share best practices and address the evolving landscape of higher education within the SADC region.
Under the theme “Fostering Excellence in Higher Education through Effective Internal and External Quality Assurance Systems,” the conference will explore critical success factors, digital transformation in QA, and strategies for regional harmonisation.
Conference Highlights
- Dates: 23 – 25 September 2026
- Venue: Rainbow Towers Hotel & Conference Centre, Harare, Zimbabwe
- Key Focus Areas: Internal and external QA mechanisms, innovation and technology (AI), and stakeholder engagement.
- Publication Opportunity: Presented long papers will be considered for the inaugural edition of the SAQAN Journal for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
