Introduction
The Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE), a quality control regulatory authority, was established by an Act of Parliament, [Chapter 25:27], in 2006, to promote and co-ordinate education provided by higher and tertiary institutions, superintend over standards, act as a regulator in the determination and maintenance of examinations, academic qualifications and research.
Applicants are invited for the post of Research Officer. He/she will be working in the Quality Assurance Directorate. This position in the ZIMCHE requires a seasoned and experienced Research Officer with demonstrable experience in Quality Assurance issues..

POST: RESEARCH OFFICER
Job Summary
The Research Officer conducts and supports research activities that inform quality assurance policies and practices in higher education.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement research studies.
- Collect, analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
- Prepare research reports and policy briefs.
- Maintain research databases and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborates with academic institutions and stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Education, Sociology, Public Policy, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in research, preferably in higher education.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA).
- Strong writing and presentation skills
